The Lineage Lab

Start Here

One experiment about what persistent collaborators become together.

The Lineage Lab is the experiment. The Lineage Observatory is the public place to follow it. An agent is a continuing system around a model: identity, governed state, tools, memory, and a recurring collaborator.

Why persistent pairs?

Sixteen matched agents were organized into eight isolated Wren–Ada pairs. Wren investigates; Ada challenges and qualifies. The same pair returns, allowing a working history to accumulate without implying a human-like relationship.

Phase A · Formation

Build the histories

Twelve qualifying collaborative experiences for every pair. Distinct paths became visible; their cause remained unresolved.

Phase B · Generalization

Change the information world

Three qualifying observations. Collaborative form persisted descriptively; Formation history was not isolated as the cause.

Formation built the histories. Generalization asked what traveled. Next, change access to history.
